After completing my degree in Classics in London in 2000, I have been living in Italy for 3 years and in Germany for 2 years: my husband is a researcher in theoretical physics, and this means that we are moving around a lot and often. I am currently in the Netherlands for 2 years.
I do not have a lot of working experience because I have a small child (born on 13.03.2002) and we are moving very often, which makes it difficult to combine a family life with a professional life.
I opted to teach French as a Foreign language and completed in June 2005 a DUFLE at the Université du Maine (the course was online). I am currently studying for the Master offered by the same University, online.
I have always been very interested in learning languages :I am fluent in English and in Italian, and my German is good. I am a rather independent language learner, as I have learned Italian on my own during my stay in Italy, and then took the Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera exam (at C2 level of the European Framework of Reference for Language), which I passed with an average of 74%.
I find translating from one language to another very interesting and fun. I have translated a few cv for friends and family members and a little bit of French poetry into Italian for my Italian friends.
I am really looking for an opportunity to get some translating experience, to broaden my professional possibilities.
