I am a professional Interpreter and Translator. I got my Bachelor's Degree in Interpretation from the Instituto Superior de Interpretes y Traductores in 1981 at Mexico City and my MA with major in Communications from Almeda University in 2005.

I have got several diplomas in E-Commerce from Virtual University of Mercado Libre.com (2004, 2005 and 2006) and Coastal Vacations Business (2005).

I am a Certified English Teacher from the London Business University (IDELT Examinations) accredited by the British Accreditation Council and from the Ministry of Public Education in Mexico in October, 2006.

I received the grade of Chancellor A in Diplomatic Service from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1983.

I have worked as a Freelance Translator and Interpreter for over 15 years for different Translation/Interpretation Agencies for different simultaneous, consecutive and liason interpretations at conferences, seminars and workshops as well as for different translation projects on topics such as: hydraulics, water basins, elctronics, mechanical and oil engineering, oil exploration and drilling, printing and publishing, healthcare, finance and accounting, general legal documents, agreements, medicine, pharmaceutical and medical devices, ophtalmology, trucks, buses and maritime transportation.

I have outsourced as well several projects for important customers like Schneider Electronics, Offset Multicolor, Pemex, Mexican Petroleum Institute, Smithkline and French Labs., CANIEM Mexican Publishing Association, Sabritas, General Electric, Ford, Devlyn Optical, etc.

I have worked at different intervals as hired in-house translator and interpreter for: a) Volvo Corporation at CEO level for 2.5 years and from there I have implemented a lot of Automotive and Trucks terminology in my professional life;
b) Mexican Maritime Transportation Corp for 1.5 years and have therefore being specialized in the maritime transportation terminology; c) 4 years for the General Direction of Standardization in the Mexican Ministry of Commerce as head officer of the translation and interpretation team and worked a lot with ISO, ANSI, CRI HR and many other international and Mexican standards; d) Ford Foundation, Voluntary Surgical Contraception in LA and Pathfinder Fund for 3 years interpreting and translating for their Health Care Social Projects; e) PEMEX, for 1.5 years as interpreter of seminars and workshops of a SAP-PEMEX project (493 hours) and translator of different sectorial documents like oil exploration, perforation, research, safety, accounting, logistic, software and finance (392,800 words).

I have interpreted and translated several international conferences and workshops for Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, Quality Assurance and Standardization.

I am a member since 2004 of a cooperative translation/interpretation agency in which I have provided my interpretation services for international NGO's and their social projects, thereby upgrading my formation in governmental and social policies.

I have managed the operation and logistics of two international sales force congresses for Avon Cosmetics and Coca Cola and one for the International Standardization Committees organized by the Ministry of Commerce.
