I worked as an in-house editor (English) and translator (English > German) at Booking.com for almost 10 years (3/2007 to 12/2016), where I translated and wrote tourism-related marketing texts for the Booking.com website.

In December 2016, I opted for independence and started as a freelance translator in January 2017. Holding a master's degree in Political Science and Art History from Vienna University and out of personal interest, I have since then been specialising in EU documents, social sciences, art and culture, engineering and archictecture apart from marketing/tourism-related content.

My Dutch language skills I acquired during an exchange semester at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. I deepend this knowledge in a summer school organised by the Dutch derparment of the University of Vienna on theoretical and practical aspects of translating. 

My focus is on quality and not necessarily on speed (which does not mean that I do not meet all agreed deadlines).

It is my desire to make to convey your message to your target audience in an optimal, idiomatic way.
