I started my experience as a professional translator English to Italian in 2002, working full time for Adam & Partner Integrated Communications (Turin, Italy), an advertising agency that could count between its clients international tourism brands like Orient Express Hotels and Trains, Corinthia Hotels and Best Western Hotel, along with national tourism boards like Kenya, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malta, Seychelles, Jordan, Qatar. The major translation work I've been doing during my three years in A&P, apart from the daily routine of press releases from all the clients, is probably the entire Hong Kong Tourism Board Website.
Prior to this, I had already started translating massive portions of academic texts during my studies at Turin University (History of Cinema).
I moved to England (Bristol) in 2005 and started working for OD2, whose business consists in providing an internet music service to internet distributors of music downloads. I keep doing my job as a linguist in this company, translating all the copies, FAQs and other web editorials that go live on the sites (MSN, Tiscali) in Italy.
