I was a Spanish instructor in the Atlanta Public School System for 28 years. Prior to retiring in May, 2005, I became a certified Spanish>English translator. After receiving said certification from Ga State University, I completed my Masters in Spanish at the University of Salamanca in Spain.
During the summer of 2002 I volunteered in the Department of Interpretation and Translation at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. I worked on numerous hospital related documents and brochures.
I have held membership in ATA (American Translators Association) since 1999 and am anxious to begin working in the translation industry once again now that my teaching career is behind me. |
