High Priest of The Virtuous Blood
The Order of The Virtuous Blood have devoted their lives to cleansing the fair world of Tamriel of the Vampire scourge for centuries. Over the years, thousands of these foul creatures have been vanquished by our hand. It goes beyond record and memory how many High Priests have come and gone while the strength of vampires endured.
Thus it came to chance that I, Faelas Kirinor, unravelled the mystery behind the enduring power of the vampires of old, for when our need was dire and fortune seemed to have forsaken my order, I came upon ancient records that spoke of an old and powerful Count named Dragulia. More research into the matter revealed the fact that Count Dragulia was more than a mere mortal man. His rule had spanned far longer than any man had ever lived and it was written that his subjects believed that the creature which resided within him was the son of The Prince of Darkness himself!
Knowing that vampires are spawns of the realms of such evil, The Order set out on a quest to find Count Dragulia. We soon realised, however, that our efforts were useless as there was no information speaking of the location of the Count's castle, for in Tamriel, it was most certainly nowhere to be found.
My brothers and I set out on what seemed an endless quest to find any word of the whereabouts of this mysterious Count. After years of searching and on the verge of giving up, a group of vampires that we were hunting unwhittingly led us to a dark old monastery in the Valus Mountains. There we were faced with a nightmarish onslaught. Not only vampires, but many other foul vampiric relatives that I would not care to name. They seemed to be coming through a huge, foul black door, marked with death.

L’intera esistenza dell’Ordine del Sangue Virtuoso è stata votata, per secoli, a liberare il gentil mondo di Tamriel dalla piaga dei Vampiri. Nel corso degli anni, migliaia di queste corrotte creature sono state annientate per mano nostra. Il numero di Alti sacerdoti scivolati dalla vita alla morte, mentre la forza dei vampiri perdurava nel tempo, è ben al di là di ciò che è stato registrato negli annali e custodito nel ricordo.
Volle il fato che io, Faelas Kirinor, svelassi il mistero celato all’origine dell’inesauribile potere dei vampiri dei tempi remoti; quando giunse l'ora del bisogno, e la fortuna sembrò aver voltato le spalle al mio ordine, m’imbattei in alcuni vecchi manoscritti che riferivano di un antico e potente Conte, chiamato col nome di Dragulia. Ricerche più approfondite rivelarono che il Conte Dragulia era molto più di un semplice essere umano. Il suo regno si era prolungato ben oltre la durata della vita di qualsiasi uomo mai esistito, ed era scritto che i suoi sudditi credessero che la creatura ospitata all’interno del suo corpo fosse il figlio dello stesso Principe delle Tenebre!
Sapendo che i vampiri non sono nient’altro che progenie dei regni del male, l’Ordine si mise alla ricerca del Conte Dragulia. Ma ben presto ci accorgemmo che i nostri sforzi erano vani, poiché non vi era alcun indizio sul luogo ove si trovasse il castello del Conte: di certo esso non poteva essere cercato su Tamriel.
Io e i miei confratelli c’imbarcammo in quella che sembrava essere l’infinita ricerca di anche solo una parola su dove si nascondesse l'elusivo Conte. Dopo anni di tentativi, arrivati fin quasi sul punto di arrenderci, accadde che un gruppo di vampiri ai quali stavamo dando la caccia ci conducesse involontariamente ad un vecchio e oscuro monastero sulle Montagne di Valus. Qui fummo costretti a fronteggiare un’offensiva che sembrava provenire dai nostri peggiori incubi. Ne facevano parte non solo vampiri, ma anche altri loro malvagi compagni il cui nome non trova nemmeno posto sulle mie labbra. Sembrava uscissero da un enorme, malsano portale nero, marchiato dalla morte stessa.
