After working as Language Specialist inside one of Microsoft's localization agencies, in 1997 I decided to start my own activity as freelance translator and reviewer. I also carry out Quality Assurance (QA) checks and services for some of my customers. My main fields of expertise are Information Technology, legal documentation (contracts), fashion/textile, marketing/advertising.
In 2004 I took a specialised course on legal translations in order to improve my skills at translating contracts and other legal documents.
In the past I have organised courses for software translators both as Language Specialist and afterwards and I quite like that part of my job because of the human relationships you can establish.
My working languages are English and French. I have also done Russian during my studies at the High School for Interpreters and Translators.
Since September 2010 I am a member of the Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters (Associazione Nazionale Italiana Traduttori Interpreti, www.aniti.it) and currently I serve as a member of its Board of Directors.
