Working in my own business as a freelancer since 2003 I have translated legal, technical, IT/telecom, financial, business, marketing and promotional documents including contracts, agreements and official resolutions, technical specifications for structures, machinery and equipment, tender documents, grant application materials, and business correspondence.
Six Years as an In-house Translator at "Hungary’s Number One Translation Agency"
As a full-time employee from 2007 to November 2013 at the National Office for Translation and Attestation Ltd. (OFFI Zrt.), the state-owned company exclusively authorized to issue attested (certified) translations in Hungary, my task was to produce attested translations, revise translations for attestation, as well as to produce (or revise) non-certified specialist translations, covering such diverse fields of expertise as contract law, civil law, corporate law, criminal law, family law, international business and commerce, and more.
Wide Experience in Literary Translation, Both Prose and Poetry -- Substantial Experience in Editing, Revision and Proofreading of Publications
Between 2001 and 2007 I translated, revised, edited or proofread more than a dozen very different books.
As part-time lecturer I taught seminars on literary translation (from 2000) in the framework of the Literary Translation Programme at the Department of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Arts, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). From 2004 I also taught English to Hungarian consecutive interpreting.
I was series editor of the Department’s series of university textbooks on literary translation.
