I was born in Johor, Malaysia. I am a native speaker of Malay language, having been brought up, educated and trained in Malay Linguistic.
After secondary school, I was awarded Tun Syed Nasir Ismail Scholarship in Linguistic Studies from National Institute of Malay Language and Literature of Malaysia (the government authority in Malaysia responsible for coordinating the usage of the Malay language in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei) to study at University of Malaya, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (1996-1999) and graduating 2 years later with a master degree in Sociolinguistic Studies with full dissertation (University’s Malaya Tutorship) from the University of Malaya itself. (1999-2001). After graduated at 1999, I worked for 1 years in the areas of publishing at National Institute of Malay Language and Literature.
Currently, doing my Phd in Translation Studies at University of Malaya,Kuala Lumpur.
