Communicating in different languages is to me a way to join people, to teach and to learn and that is my passion: to translate. With more than 10 years of experience in the languages market and doing translations both professionally and personally, I seek new challenges every day.
I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina and graduated as Legal Sworn Translator in English from the University of Buenos Aires in 2002. I began to do translation work immediately after and, since then, I have developed a network of trusted translators and subject matter specialists from Latin America and Europe.
The twists of fate brought me later to The Netherlands. Here I took intensive Dutch language and advanced writing courses at the Radboud University Nijmegen and shortly after I got a job at a Dutch company and was able to perfect my oral and written Dutch language skills. I also worked for American companies in The Netherlands and Argentina where daily communication happened in Spanish, English and Dutch.
Since 2013, I have been working as a freelance translator with all kind of texts, especially personal documents, contracts, articles about economy, medicine, marketing strategies and, most recent, computer software and applications as my current areas of interest. In addition, colleagues and other professionals entrust me texts for style correction (writing, grammar and spelling) and I also work as an interpreter in business meetings (face-to-face, virtual or conference calls) when clients meet business partners or foreign colleagues and they do not want to miss anything of the agenda.
Those who hire my services know I am a flexible and dynamic professional who stays updated with the latest terminology. Responsibility for my work and respect for my clients are my distinguishing features; deadlines are always met and confidentiality is kept as expected. My network of professionals works with the same values and passion I have.
I strongly believe that the process of translation does not consist only in conveying a text from a language into another, as any translation program can do: it consists in understanding the subject matter, using the right terminology and, if possible, knowing who the addressee is. And this is only possible when a qualified translator is involved.
