Regional languages and expressions are subtle and complex. It is absolutely incumbent to have a full exposure to, and comprehension of, them.
This is true of all the world languages in general, but no where as important as in regions of diverse ethnicities and cultural variations. When you expand the field to the entire sub-continent, the medium extends to way over a billion people.
