About me
ABOUT THE NAME OF MY BUSINESS, GENII TRANSLATIONS:

The word "genii" [pronounced: 'dji:ni:'ai] is derived from my last name, Genis. It is the plural form of the word "genius", among others in the following senses: invisible guardian spirit (from Roman myth), or djinn (from Arabic myth – think of the story of Aladdin, in which the djinn says "My wish is your command").

Although this is a one-man business, or rather a one-woman business, using the plural form has been a conscious choice because of the versatility I can offer. So, in this case "one" is actually "more than one". Due to my translation experience ever since 1986 and my ability to put myself in your shoes I built up some widely varied specialisms – see EXPERTISE. If you have any texts in these areas that you would like to have professionally translated from English into Dutch, or from Dutch into English, I will immerse myself in them, and will make your wish my command. The fact that, while doing so, my slogan is "dotting the i's and crossing the t's", will show that I have great attention to detail.
And there is more to that versatility, because I am performing all business tasks myself. Briefly put, for you this translates into a personal approach and attractive rates due to a lower overhead.
