I graduated from "Babes-Bolyai" University in Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Letters, Department of Applied Foreign Languages, specialization Translators-Interpreters, Business-Commerce, language combination English-French + Romanian in June, 2002, and in October I received my sworn translator authorization from the Ministry of Justice in Romania. For the English to Romanian language combination, my strongest fields are:
- technical [several subfields - mainly user guides - for electric and electronic home appliances (mobile phones, TV sets, radio sets, AC devices, photo cameras), power tools, automatic doors, ovens, machines and forklifts];
- medical (informative leaflets, product presentations, medical articles of general interest, medical investigations, medical software localization, user guides/instructions for use for investigation and diagnose devices, cardiographs, defibrillators, sensors);
For the medical field, I can provide two verifiable references. At the moment, I am interested in: user guides, user manuals, guidelines, instructions for use, menus and prompts, but I will consider any suitable project as well.
I am a part-time linguist (6 hours a day), working by Romania's timezone - GMT + 3, but I have never missed a deadline so far. |
