Following several years’ experience as a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language at an international language school and a period as Language Consultant at the Italian headquarters of a well-known British luxury car manufacturer, Sally Titcomb has worked exclusively in the field of translation, accompanying her work (including economic, financial, legal, marketing, humanities, film and contemporary arts texts) with an in depth study of the relevant subject matter and its specific terminology. Convinced that the art of translation lies in rendering the sense of the original text using the most appropriate vocabulary, she believes that the use of suitable linguistic supports (dictionaries, glossaries and on-line databases), as well as the guidance of experts in the field in question, is fundamental to her work.
