Formally we are two separate firms which have been working closely together for over three years and which use the same logo. Each of the firms has been in business independently for over ten years, having produced numerous significant translations from many languages and in many fields.
Besides translation, GERPOL is often involved in business representation. MEMO can also take pride in its significant achievements in publishing, in particular its foreign-language text books, which are still among the most sought after.
The combination of our linguistic expertise and our practical experience in relations with business clients, as well as the amalgamation of our teams of cooperating translators, has brought excellent results.
It is these translators who are our strength. They are people with excellent practical knowledge of languages, in many cases also working in different professions. Although this sometimes limits their availability, it means that our firm is greatly enriched by being able to draw on their invaluable experience and knowledge.
Thanks to the large number of translators who work for us, we are able to provide service to our customers whenever it is needed. We have not created a costly office structure, as these often fossilize over time and end up increasing the cost to customers. We rely above all on the excellence of our logistics in the acceptance, carrying out and verification of work, settlement of accounts and delivery of completed jobs.
For very large jobs we rapidly create project teams, which are able to ensure that the often tight deadlines are met. A single project coordinator oversees the consistency of the translated text, thus ensuring that the use of this procedure does not affect the quality of the finished product.
We work with many full-time translators who, not being restricted by other work commitments, willingly act as interpreters for business negotiations, meetings, visits, etc. They are also able to accompany clients on business trips abroad, where they are able to act as guides to the foreign land, culture and mentality.
