Two decades of experience, in the US and South America, as a Translator/Interpreter in both English and Spanish, most recently as the head of the language-services unit of a large federal government agency for 7 years, responsible for translating documents ranging from certificates to extraditions and for interpreting varied criminal and civil proceedings.
Certified, since 1995, as Translator and Interpreter, by the Administrative Office of U.S. Courts in Washington, DC.
Ample working knowledge of French, Italian and Portuguese to translate, summarize and/or correct translations from those languages into English and Spanish.
Born in a Spanish-speaking Caribbean country, and educated in the United States from the age of 15, culminating with an MBA from the Wharton School of the U. of Pennsylvania.
Worked and resided during 15 years in several South American countries, from Argentina to Peru, and in France for 5 years.
Also prepared to tackle, with the assistance of a full-time team of qualified collaborators under my supervision, any assignment requiring transcription and translation of recordings, as well as traditional Translation and Interpretation work, Voice-overs, editing, etc.
