I did a year of course work in Business Spanish including translations of documents and letters as well as specialized vocabulary building. I worked as an intern at the Medical Center of Central Georgia during Jan-May 2004 interpreting and translating. This included translation of medical forms, pamphlets, information, general information documents, consent forms, and phonetic pronunciations for English-speakers. I have spent time in El Salvador and Mexico to experience the language of native speakers and practice weekly with native speakers.

I received Departmental Honors for Foreign Language from Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. I received my BA in Spanish in May 2004 with a GPA of 3.3.
