I received certification as a judicial interpreter in Spanish through the NC branch of the Consortium for State Court Interpreter Certification in January 2001 and currently work in the state court system as an interpreter/translator. In addition to the intensive training entailed by the certification process, my prior educational experiences and travel to Spanish-speaking countries, I have taken coursework at the UNC Law School entitled Spanish for Lawyers.
