I am a native Danish speaker and have an MA in English. I have lived in English-speaking countries (mainly Ireland) for about 7 years but have been back in Denmark since 2004. I have been working as a translator since March 2002 and as a freelancer since 2004 and have built up solid experience within certain areas in this period. In particular, I would like to mention:
- Transcreation/copywriting with regard to synopses for films and tv series
- IFUs for medical devices such as catheters and stent systems
- Clinical trials
- Patient information
- Package inserts
- IT-related material, e.g. instructions, software, help files and marketing material.
I am a very meticulous translator and do a lot of research when I translate especially new material so that I get the terminology and style right, and I always query things I am unsure about, so that I can deliver as complete a translation as possible. I am very realistic about my deadlines and do not accept jobs if I know that the deadline is too tight for me to do a proper job. Having said that, I do work very efficiently and am used to quick turn-arounds, but never at the expense of the quality.
