Dear reader,

I am a Dutch native. I lived in The Netherlands for about 32 years. I have travelled a lot and lived in the USA, Romania and China. Since 2006 I have been living in Germany. Ever since I work as an English and Dutch teacher and translator.

I have a master's degree in psychology; neuropsychology and psychogerontology. My main work experience ranges from interim manager at a help-at-home organization to working in the pedagogical field with problem children and homeless addicts. Before that I worked as an assistent public accountant for three years. I have NIVRA-accountancy 1.

My love for writing and reading books makes me aware of the value of words and the importance of clear communication. I'd rather think twice about a word, than to write a word that 'sort of does it too'. Therefore communication with the provider of the original text is important, so that it is clear what the goal of the translation is. And as I am translating, I will also notice possible mistakes or typing failures in the original text and report them to you.

Some examples of my translation experience :

SAP for a big technology company, Germany
Handbook for the DB (German Railway Company), Germany (proofreading and translating)
four books:

Employment contracts for a Dutch job agency, The Netherlands
Information sheets about construction jobs and security for a Dutch job agency, The Netherlands

Commercial texts for Travel2events, The Netherlands
Texts for a navigation system, Germany

Monthly financial report for a company in the solar cell industry, Germany

German – English
Local website, Bitterfeld Online, Germany
several commercial letters and advertisements.

If you would like to work with me or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any time. I am looking forward to working with you!
