I am currently a PhD candidate at Stanford University in Modern Chinese Literature. At the moment, I am living in Shanghai conducting research towards the completion of my dissertation. I am a native English speaker who grew up in a Chinese-speaking household; since college I have studied the Chinese language. For my own work I have done extensive literary translations of both Classical and Modern Chinese, some of which have been used in classrooms both at Stanford and Princeton Universities.

My specialty is in retaining the nuances of the language. Many times I have seen translated documents in which the words are correct but the actual sense of the writing is lost. I can help your business make sure that important subtleties are kept within the new document, ensuring more complete and clear communication.
