I was born in Rio, in 1962, and have been working as a free-lance translator (English - Brazilian/European Portuguese) since 1985. My studies of English were held at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, at Sociedade Brasileira de Cultura Inglesa (in Rio de Janeiro) and during my longer stays in the UK (Brighton) and in the USA (San Francisco).
I have obtained the Certificate of Proficiency in English by the University of Cambridge, the Certificate of Translation from and into Portuguese by the University of Cambridge, and the Certificate of Specialization for Translators and Interpreters by Daniel Brilhante de Brito, all between 1984 and 1985. In 2001, I moved to Belo Horizonte and, in 2002, I started com2 Translations Ltd in that capital city.
Productivity (individual): 15.000 - 20.000 words per week. For larger or more critical jobs, I can manage projects and work along with very qualified professionals.
Work focus: quality translation of large projects using state-of-the-art technology and the best reference sources.
