I am a professional self-employed translator for over twenty years. Throughout the course of my career I have proved to be self-managed, motivated and willing to cooperate with project managers and reviewers, communicating mainly by email. I take care about high quality of my work and meet deadlines rigorously.I have translated into Spanish 6 fiction books, which were published by prestigious Spanish publishing houses, Anagrama and Acantilado. Their styles ranged from curly, complicated baroque sentences, to everyday and even obscene language. Working on a wide diversity of fields allowed me to learn quickly and encouraged my documentation skills. As for technical expertise, I am familiar with technical translation, and used to manage CAT tools on everyday basis. I am familiar with SmartCat, Trados, OmegaT, MemoQ, CatsCradle, WordFast, etc. As a translators’ trainer at the University level, I taught and coordinated students’ projects using AMARA system (for TED talks translation).
