Source text - English The former species is related to Polystachya, but differs in having longer and narrower leaves and cushion of glandular hairs at basis of middle lobe. The latter species is allied, more strictly, to Polystachya, but the lip appears rhomboid, fleshy and pubescent, its widely triangular indented lateral lobes set in blunt angle with the notched middle lobe.
Translation - Latin Species prior Polystachaye affinis est, sed foliis longioribus angustioribusque et pulvinari capillorum glandularium apud basim lobi intermedii posito distinguitur.
Species posterior sensu stricto Polystachyae annumeratur, sed labellum eius rhomboidaeum, carnosum et pubescens apparet, lobi labelli laterales aperte triangulati dentatique in angulo obtuso cum lobo intermedio emarginato collocantur.
