English to Bosnian: Fair play General field: Other Detailed field: Sports / Fitness / Recreation
Source text - English SUMMARY
Fair-play postaje luksuz, a fer ponašanje - utopija.
Translation - Bosnian SUMMARY
Lexicon of ethic in sport includes definition of “fair conduct” stating that it could be manifested through efforts of sportsmen and sports workers to behave in accordance with rules during sports competitions and under harsh conditions. One who is fair complies with written and unwritten rules and observes principle of moderateness. Wherever fair conduct reigns there is no lack of honesty, correctness and love of justice. To behave fairly to your opponent means to be tolerant and calm. However, fair conduct has opponents: falsity, levity, tricks and frauds. If being the first is all that matters, than temptation to disregard fair conduct and to disobey rules, or to use them for one’s own benefit, must be immense. Desire to win and constant pressure of success don’t leave much space for fair conduct. Fair play becomes a luxury and fair conduct – utopia. Improvement of fair conduct is unavoidable and necessary in the society endangered by brutal rat race for success.
