About me
Antonella Sigaud Yllana was born in 1972 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She begun writing poems, and created her first book at the age of eight years, in the capital of Brazil, Brasília. At the age of fourteen she moved with her family to Hamburg, to the north of Germany, where she finished schooling and concluded with excellence the Abitur, German standard exam. She then traveled throughout Europe working and writing. She lived five years in France, three in Spain, six months in Italy and two years in the U.S.A., and deepened her studies in the languages of these countries. She returned to Brazil, where she spends large periods of time, punctuated by her voyages to foreign countries. She works frequently as a translator and consecutive translator and continues to dedicate herself to creative writing. In 1997 her first book, a novel called "Aipotu and The Traveler of Utopia", was published in Rio de Janeiro. In 2002 "The Science of Passion", a book in which she exposes her conversations with her "inner goddess", caught the attention of the renowned writer Paulo Coelho, who incorporated many passages of it in his novel "Eleven Minutes", read world-wide. In 2005 "Love Letter of a Pilgrim to the Camino the Santiago" and in 2008 "When Clouds Dance" were published in Rio de Janeiro. She has had multiple launchings and conferences throughout her homeland and also presented her books to the Brazilian community in New York City, U.S.A.
