A French native speaker, I moved to England in 1985 to take up the position of lector at Salford University, which is one of the leading UK universities in the area of translation and interpreting. Up until 2004 (as stated in my CV), I've been mainly involved in teaching at Higher Education level, with translation and the theory and practice of foreign language teaching being my specialisms. I can therefore state confidently that any translation that I might be asked to perform will be highly accurate and very much in the "spirit" of the target language (be it French or English).
In the field of interpreting, I can add that I have been an interpreter since 1985, helping people move between English and French.
All the foregoing therefore explains why I claim that I have 10 years' experience. Although te figure does not represent the whole time I have been in the UK and worked there in universities, it reflects the degree of confidence in my abilities as a translator and interpreter
