Before becoming a full-time freelance translator/editor in 1998 I had over 10 years' experience in translating, editing and proof-reading German and English texts in a variety of fields. My experience of law and legal texts is based on a brief stint as an in-house translator in a German law firm. During my time as a lecturer in English at Bonn University I taught translation for MA examination candidates.
I have an MA in Linguistics and the IoL Diploma in Translation (German > English).
