My name is Tom Lewis. I was born in Ohio, U.S.A. I am a native English speaker. At the age of nine my family moved to Puerto Rico. We lived there until I was thirteen. This experience allowed me to learn Spanish in a natural, communication based setting, as opposed to a classroom setting. Because of this, I essentially have two native languages. At the age of eighteen I moved to Lima, Ohio, where I studied Journalism, Spanish, and Philosophy at Ohio Northern University. I have worked as a volunteer translator for Believers Christian Fellowship, a non-denominational church based in Lima. I have served as a "live" translator for church services at their annual Family Camp, which regularly attracts an international audience. In this setting I would translate the speaker's words from English into Spanish as they were being spoken for attendees who did not speak English. I have also served Believers Christian Fellowship and other churches by translating letters, emails, and other documents related to missions work. I would appreciate the opportunity to help you with your English to Spanish and Spanish to English translation needs.
