Foreign languages has been during the last 15 years my hobby and during the last four an important part of my job, especially since November 2007.

French was my first serious attack to master a language, then it came English and finally German. In the middle, there was also some Italian and the next month Portuguese will be my target.
I have spent uncountable hours learning these languages but they have provided me with magical moments. The most especial ones took place when I first managed to express myself clearly in each of these languages and was completely understood, which was delightful.

Since November 2007 I have to deal with four languages on a daily basis:
German, English, French and Spanish.
Translation, customer support and technical support (GPS devices, TV´s and telephones)by phone and Mail are my tasks in my everyday work. For customer and technical support I use my English, French and Spanish, for translation one of the two parts is always German.
Nearly everyday, I have to translate texts, which come in German from the repair department, for the English, French and Spanish speaking customers, and of course it works in the other way, texts or conversations from these customers into German.

I think I have the ability to look for the correct word within the correct information source. That is something essential in order to reflect the same intended meaning in the original language. My other strength, when it comes to translate, is to express the meaning of a text in the new language as it should be done in a natural way, proper from the country of this new language.
