Beatrice holds an interpreting certification from the Florida State Courts and a B.S. in E.S.O.L. She has an extensive background in both legal and medical translation and interpreting as well as in the teaching of literature and English as a foreign language. Beatrice has also worked closely with several Spanish speaking writers in the translation of plays and short stories into English, and has also received two awards for her short-story writing in English. She has collaborated with her husband Gerardo in most projects as an editor or translator.

Gerardo has 15 years’ experience in the technological and medical translation fields. He has worked as project manager and localizer for several undertakings in the software and technological industries. He is the creator of the bilingual glossary for the Drug Information Association, has performed multi-year translation projects for leading Medical networks in the US and has worked on multi-project and multi-year translation projects for Bailey Systems, Lutron, Xerox, among other leading companies.

Gerardo has also worked as a Freelance English writer for several newspapers and internet media from Latin America and the US: The Buenos Aires Herald (Argentina), Venezuela's Electronic News – VHeadline (Venezuela), and The Caracas Daily Journal (Venezuela). His work as a Freelance Spanish writer includes articles in several of the top newspapers and the largest news agency in Argentina : Telam, Official News Agency, Ambito Financiero, Pagina/12.


Gerardo has thorough knowledge of the Localization and translation process, Unicode implementation, and UI design for internationalization, as well as knowledge of Internationalization and globalization issues in Visual Basic, C++, Visual C# and .Net in general, Java and Web technologies, including ASP.Net.

We work with a variety of resource editing tools, like Corel Catalyst, MS Visual Studio, MS Localization Studio, and Resourcerer, as well as in a variety of DTP programs, among them: Frame Maker, Interleaf, Frame Builder, PageMaker, CorelDraw, Quark XPress. We have a solid knowledge of translation memory tools and terminology data base creation tools such as Transit, IBM Translation Manager, Deja Vu, Trados and XL8.
