I'm Brazilian and since very young I've learnt to speak two languages, Portuguese and Hungarian, for my parents were Hungarians. I think thay maybe this helped me not to have a lot of difficulty with languages. Soon I became very interested in French, but English excited me more. And I've studied it, til getting The Cambridge diploma. After this I went to College and majored in Philosophy and Psychology, but for familiar reasons, I didn't have the chance to work in these areas. And I begun to receive invitations to teach English in several schools. After years of teaching, I received another invitation, to translate movies and so began my carreer as a movie translator. I've translated thoiusand of movies, series, informercials, documentaries, etc. Some people also gave me translations from Portugue into English, but I've never had the chance to practice this a lot.
I've also translated Italian and Spanish movies, but for me Italian is much easier, because I've studied four months in Rome (History of Art).
I have also translated books and texts, from Portuguese into English, so I do other kind of translations, too.
I have also worked as an interpreter, which I find a very interesting job.
Well, in a nut shell, I think this can show something about my expertise.
Thank you for reading, best regards, Judit.
