I learned spanish through travel to Central America and have grown in the language mightily since I married my mexican wife.
I currently teach spanish at a local community college and have done that since 1991.
My first desire to learn the language came from the 1971 Pittsburgh Pirates, who had a lot of latins on their team. Baseball has been a big part of me learning the language.
I have learned much about the culture and understand many of the nuances, such as the difference between spanish speakers from Argentina and Mexico.
I'm also a freelance writer and I have written 8 books, all in english.
But I'm hoping to do some of my books in spanish as well down the road.
My books are on Amazon.com.
I've done freelance translation for an artist, an engineering firm and for the pharmaceutical company that I currently work for. I'm also well versed in translating for religion and sports, among other subjects.
I look forward to getting into more translation opportunities. |
