First and foremost, I am in the business of design build. I work on residential and small scale commercial projects that relate to advanced energy efficiency, low carbon emission, low environmental cost and high performance building integrated appliances, systems, instruments and equipments.
However, I am an environmental activist in training, getting ready to work on state level leadership in developing green economy, outreaching citizens in weatherization of home and conservation methods, passing policies about carbon emission cap, clean energy, clean water, and land preservation.
At the same time, I am a native Korean speaker, and I have professional freelance experience as a consecutive interpretor in social work, medical and immigration cases through the International Rescue Committee in Charlottesville, VA.
Combining those three key areas in my life, I wish to become much better interpreter and translator in expanding my expertise from general medicine, social work and immigration to social justice, environmental and labor laws, international green product marketing, international environment and building code related policy making, and conjoined private and public sector ventures in the key areas of the urban renewal, international sustainable technology transfer, and citizen outreach such as smart grid, renewable energy infrastructure and mixed use adaptive reuse developments.
