I've been an active freelance translator/interpreter for the past 30 years, and have become a Certified Translator nominated by the Sao Paulo State Government in 2000. Being a professional translator has further helped me build a corporate and executive career in Communication and Corporate affairs, and work for the consumer goods, sporting goods and mining segments.
Back in June 2012, I made a decision to end my corporate career and re-enter 100% in the translation and interpreting market, for the strong potential this segment has shown over the past years.
After attending two international refresher training in both translation and interpreting, one in London and another one in Monterey (CA), thanks to the sound connections I could build through my career, here I am as a full-time and active translator and interpreter. Needless to say that being a member of two outstanding global associations, like ProZ and ATA, and a certified member of the Sao Paulo Board of Trade has been paramount to keeping me in this amazing field.
I am sure there is still a long way to go, but I feel encouraged and enthusiastic about what is to come.
All the best.
