Summary of Skills and Experience
Originally, I took a B.Sc (Maths & Physics) from the Kerala University, in the year 1967. Joined govt. service in the year 1968 and served the govt. of India in different capacities till my retirement on voluntary basis in Dec 2004 as a Director.
I have Interpretership diplomas in Chinese (1972)and Japanese (1980) with my foreign language experience spanning for over three decades. This gave me experience in translating various types of foreign language documents as well as teaching these languages to govt. officials. I have acquired significant level of experience in tackling the most difficult foreign languages of the world (a rare combination) that has equipped me in tackling documents of varying contents, particularly S&T documents.
I have taken voluntary retirement, for personal reasons, in order to to be closer to my old mother in Kerala and to look after my property etc. I will be settling down in Bangalore shortly. I maintain robust health and look forward to an active life hereafter.
I am looking forward to undertaking freelance translations in the short term and interpretation work after I have settled down in Bangalore, by mid 2005. |
