Born and raised in Latin America, I completed all of my higher education in
the U.S., including a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at Brown University, with concentrations in both English and Spanish.
I am fully bilingual and have published articles and
translations in both English and Spanish, and taught college-level courses in higher education for six years.
I offer translation services Eng>Span and Span>Eng, and copyediting services in both English and Spanish. My main clients have mostly been arts-related, non-profit, cultural, and educational institutions, though I have also worked with businesses and law firms. These are some of my areas of experience as a translator:
- Art and Culture: I have translated and copyedited exhibition catalogs, articles, and online texts for important arts-related institutions like the MoMA and the Americas Society in New York. This is my main area of specialization.
- Education/Academic: My academic background gives me particular knowledge of the language and references used in academic papers.
- Business/Law: I also have experience drafting and translating marketing materials, particularly websites, for law firms and businesses.
My standard rates are listed below, but I offer special rates for non-profit or charitable institutions and for certain individuals.
