I specialize mainly in Eng>Span and Span>Eng translations and copyediting jobs for publications or arts-related, non-profit, and educational institutions.
- Art: I have translated and copyedited exhibition catalogs, articles, and online texts for important arts-related institutions like the MoMA and the Americas Society in New York. This is my main area of specialization.
- Literature: I am currently doing a full-length translation of a book by Julio Cortazar. I am a writer myself and my translation of Jose Maria Arguedas was recently published in the Americas Society Review Magazine.
- Education/Academic: I have done various translation and editing jobs for a number of professors. My academic background gives me particular knowledge of the language and references used in academic papers.
I also have experience drafting and translating marketing material for law firms, and translating research tools for education institutions.
Born and raised in Latin America, I did all of my higher education in the U.S., including graduate work in Comparative Literature with concentrations in both English and Spanish.
I am fully bilingual and I currently write and publish articles and translations in both English and Spanish.
My standard rates are listed below, but I offer special rates for non-profit or charitable insitutions and for certain individuals.
