I left my desk job behind to become a boat captain on the canals of Amsterdam, but I do want to drive my desk too from time to time. So hit me up if you need something translated into Dutch!
Ever since I started freelancing as a marketing / communications professional, translating has been part of the job. I'm pretty sure I can translate for you too?

Being a copywriter as well as a translator I like to make my translations beautiful, without straying too much from the wording of the source text.

I've got ample experience with game localization so I know all about constraints, glossaries, changing requirements, cultural sensitivities etc. Also I've learned how important it is to get things right the first time around, as text bugs tend to blossom into hideous pixelated weeds, popping up in code files, Excel sheets, and eventually on the title screen ;-)

Other areas of expertise include IT, Maritime, Music (both theory, practice, and culture), Politics, and more.

Oh, and I also speak German.

I like to get paid well and timely. Please let me know beforehand if either of those might be a problem.
Keywords: Nintendo, Microsoft, HP, At Sea Sail Training, Calanza, etc. etc. Business texts, games, game manuals, technical documentation, software documentation, website localization, manuals, articles, interviews.
