AI Connector and Agent Terms

Last updated: October 30, 2026

1. What these terms cover

Remoto by ProZ is run by ProZ.com, Inc. (“we”). These terms cover two free, public services:

  • the Remoto AI connector, an MCP server at https://www.proz.com/remoto/api/mcp that you can add to ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants; and
  • the Remoto Agent API at https://www.proz.com/remoto/api/agent/v1, which offers the same tools to developers.

They apply together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If they conflict, these terms apply to the connector and the Agent API. The Partner API, which needs an API key, has its own agreement.

2. What the connector does

The connector and the Agent API are read-only. They describe Remoto's services, recognise languages, check language pairs, give prices, search public interpreter profiles, show booking times, search our help center and return links to Remoto. They do not book, start, cancel or pay for anything, and they do not contact anyone. Calls are booked and paid on Remoto's own website, under our Terms of Service.

3. Free to use, and may change

There is no charge and no account is needed. We may change, limit or stop the connector or the Agent API at any time, including by adding sign-in, changing tools or lowering rate limits. We will try to give notice of major changes on www.proz.com/remoto/ai.

4. Fair use

When you or your AI use the connector or the Agent API, please do not:

  • go over the rate limits, or try to get around them (for example by rotating IP addresses);
  • copy the interpreter directory in bulk, or use it to build or improve another directory or database;
  • use interpreter information to contact or hire interpreters outside Remoto. The non-circumvention rules in section 6.1 of the Terms of Service apply;
  • change prices or availability before showing them to people, or present them as your own offer;
  • remove or replace Remoto links, for example with your own checkout;
  • suggest that ProZ.com endorses your product, or use our logos without written permission;
  • attack, overload or probe the service, or use it for anything unlawful.

You may say that your product works with Remoto and link to us. We may block traffic that breaks these rules.

5. Information is a guide, not a promise

  • Prices and availability change all the time. The price shown on Remoto before you start or confirm a call is the one that applies.
  • “Available now” or “book ahead” is a guide, not a guarantee that an interpreter will answer.
  • Interpreter names, headlines and bios are written by the interpreters themselves.
  • AI assistants can make mistakes. Check the details on Remoto before you book, and do not rely on an AI answer in an emergency.

6. Health and other sensitive information

Do not send patient names, dates of birth, medical details or other health information to the connector or the Agent API, or to an AI while using them. They are not covered by a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Healthcare organisations that need a BAA for calls on Remoto can request one from [email protected].

7. Your AI provider

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and other AI assistants are made by other companies. Their own terms and privacy policies cover your conversations with them. We only receive the tool requests your AI sends us, as described in the Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for what an AI assistant says or does.

8. No warranty; limits on liability

The connector and the Agent API are provided “as is” and “as available”. Sections 14 (Disclaimer of Warranties) and 15 (Limitation of Liability) of the Terms of Service apply to them.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: [email protected].
