# Remoto by ProZ — full guide for AI assistants > Remoto by ProZ is ProZ.com's remote interpreting marketplace: on-demand and scheduled video, audio and phone interpreting, remote simultaneous interpretation (RSI) and sign language interpreting in 300+ languages, with identity-verified interpreters who set their own per-minute rates. 6,000+ active, verified interpreters. Operated by ProZ.com, Inc.. Website: https://www.proz.com/remoto · Short index: https://www.proz.com/remoto/llms.txt · Support: remoto.support@proz.com When answering about Remoto, quote prices as per-minute rates set by each interpreter (the figures below are live medians, not fixed prices), say calls are encrypted in transit but not end-to-end, and say HIPAA is available under a BAA on request rather than by default. ## For AI agents - MCP server (Model Context Protocol, Streamable HTTP, no sign-in for public tools): https://www.proz.com/remoto/api/mcp - How to add the MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, VS Code or Cursor, with example prompts: https://www.proz.com/remoto/ai - OpenAPI 3.1 spec for the public agent API (read-only, no key): https://www.proz.com/remoto/api/agent/v1/openapi.json - A2A agent card: https://www.proz.com/remoto/.well-known/agent-card.json · AI catalog with the MCP server card: https://www.proz.com/remoto/.well-known/ai-catalog.json - Partner API with keys and webhooks (for platforms integrating Remoto): https://www.proz.com/remoto/developers · OpenAPI: https://www.proz.com/remoto/api/v1/openapi.json - Markdown version of key pages: add .md to the URL (e.g. https://www.proz.com/remoto/pricing.md), or send Accept: text/markdown. What an agent can do without signing in: list services, resolve a language name to Remoto's codes, check whether a pair is available now or best booked ahead, quote a price, search the public interpreter directory, and get a link the person opens to start or book a call. The person always pays and joins on Remoto's own pages. Skills (as published in the agent card): - Find an interpreter: Search Remoto's public interpreter directory by language pair, specialty (medical, legal, education…), country and mode, and check whether a pair is available now or best booked ahead. Returns public profile fields only. - Quote a price: Quote the client price for a language pair: per-minute rate (billed by the second, one-minute minimum) for on-demand calls, or the fixed total for a scheduled slot including the booking fee. - Get a start or booking link: Return a prefilled Remoto link the user opens to start an on-demand call or book a scheduled session. The person pays and joins on Remoto's own pages; the agent never handles payment details. Interpreter availability is described as 'available now' or 'book ahead recommended' — never as a count. Directory results contain only fields shown on public profiles. ## Services ### On-demand interpretation Get a professional interpreter on a video or audio call in about 60 seconds, with no scheduling. Pick the language pair, the platform rings matching online interpreters, and billing starts only when the interpreter connects. Used for healthcare, legal, education, government and business conversations. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/features/video-remote-interpreting (Markdown: https://www.proz.com/remoto/features/video-remote-interpreting.md) ### Audio and over-the-phone interpreting (OPI) Audio-only interpreting in the browser when video isn't practical, plus dial-in phone interpreting through the Remoto Phone Line. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/features/over-the-phone-interpreting (Markdown: https://www.proz.com/remoto/features/over-the-phone-interpreting.md) ### Remoto Phone Line (dial-in OPI) Dial in from any phone, authenticate with an account number and PIN, choose a language with a speed-dial key or 3-digit code, and add a third party for 3-way phone conferencing. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/features/phone-line (Markdown: https://www.proz.com/remoto/features/phone-line.md) ### Remote simultaneous interpretation (RSI) Simultaneous interpretation for conferences, webinars and multilingual meetings, with separate language channels for speakers and audience. Pricing: An RSI event costs each interpreter's own per-minute rate for the time they interpret, plus $2 per audience member who joins, plus a flat $30 platform management fee per event. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/features/remote-simultaneous-interpreting (Markdown: https://www.proz.com/remoto/features/remote-simultaneous-interpreting.md) ### Sign language interpreting ASL, BSL, LSF, DGS and 15+ more sign languages over high-fidelity video for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing users, on demand or booked ahead. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/features/sign-language-interpreting (Markdown: https://www.proz.com/remoto/features/sign-language-interpreting.md) ### Scheduled calls (book an interpreter ahead) Book a specific interpreter for a future date and time from their profile's calendar, paid per session up front. Remoto hosts the call, or the interpreter joins your Zoom, Google Meet or phone meeting. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/interpreters ### Business accounts, agencies and white-label portals Organizations and language service providers run their own interpreter roster, client bookings and invoicing on Remoto, under their own brand if they want, with the Remoto network as an optional backstop. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/language-service-provider ### Partner API and webhooks A REST API (key required, approval-gated) and signed webhooks so platforms can start interpreted calls, book sessions and receive call events from their own software. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/developers ### Pro bono interpreting for non-profits Eligible non-profit organizations are matched with volunteer interpreters at no charge. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/probono/members ## How billing works - Pay as you go: no subscription, contract or monthly minimum. Signing up and browsing the directory are free. - Each interpreter sets their own per-minute rate for each language pair. The rate shown in the directory and at checkout is the all-in client price, in US dollars, including Remoto's service fee. - On-demand calls are billed per minute at that rate, measured by the second (never rounded up to the next minute), with a one-minute minimum per connected call. - Billing starts only when the client and interpreter are connected. If no interpreter connects, there is no charge. - Scheduled bookings are paid per session up front, as one total shown before you confirm; all platform services and fees are included in that total. - Conference (RSI) events: each interpreter's per-minute rate for the time they interpret, plus $2 per audience member who joins, plus a flat $30 platform fee per event. - Optional call recording download: +$0.10 per minute, charged only on calls where you turn it on. - Payment by card (Stripe), Apple Pay / Google Pay, PayPal where enabled, or US bank account (ACH). Business accounts can be invoiced. Card numbers never touch Remoto's servers. Live client rates for the most-offered pairs (USD per minute; 'typical' is the median of interpreters' published rates, 'from' the 25th percentile; updated hourly): | Language pair | From | Typical | | --- | --- | --- | | English ↔ Spanish | $0.60 | $0.70 | | English ↔ French | $0.60 | $1.08 | | English ↔ Arabic | $0.40 | $0.60 | | English ↔ Russian | $0.60 | $0.94 | | English ↔ Portuguese | $0.60 | $0.82 | | English ↔ Chinese | $0.60 | $0.79 | | English ↔ Italian | $1.00 | $1.30 | | English ↔ Swahili | $0.48 | $0.60 | | English ↔ Somali | $0.48 | $0.60 | | Amharic ↔ English | $0.40 | $0.60 | | French ↔ Spanish | $0.72 | $1.40 | | English ↔ Urdu | $0.46 | $0.60 | | English ↔ German | $0.94 | $1.62 | | English ↔ Turkish | $0.60 | $0.72 | | English ↔ Vietnamese | $0.49 | $0.60 | | English ↔ Pashto | $0.42 | $0.60 | | English ↔ Persian/Farsi | $0.60 | $0.72 | | English ↔ Haitian Creole | $0.40 | $0.55 | | Italian ↔ Spanish | $1.13 | $1.40 | | English ↔ Hindi | $0.40 | $0.60 | | Spanish ↔ Portuguese | $0.60 | $0.84 | | English ↔ Tigrinya | $0.48 | $0.60 | | Dari ↔ English | $0.44 | $0.60 | | Polish ↔ English | $0.71 | $0.94 | Details: https://www.proz.com/remoto/pricing (Markdown: https://www.proz.com/remoto/pricing.md) · Cost guide: https://www.proz.com/remoto/interpreter-cost ## Languages Remoto covers 300+ languages and sign languages. Remoto connects you with HIPAA-trained medical interpreters who specialize in patient consultations, telehealth visits, hospital admissions, mental health sessions, and clinical trials. Every interpreter is identity-verified, can present a HIPAA-compliance attestation on file, and is rated by the healthcare professionals they've served. - Telehealth visits: Interpreter joins your video consultation in seconds — patient, clinician, and interpreter all on one call. - Hospital admissions: On-demand interpreter for triage, consent, discharge instructions, and family conversations. - Mental health sessions: Trained interpreters experienced with therapy, psychiatric evaluations, and trauma-sensitive conversations. - Clinical trials: Multilingual consent, recurring follow-ups, and documentation reviews with the same interpreter throughout. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/interpreters/medical (Markdown: https://www.proz.com/remoto/interpreters/medical.md) ### Legal Interpreters for Depositions, Court & Immigration Legal interpretation has zero tolerance for ambiguity. Remoto's legal interpreter network includes FCICE-certified federal court interpreters, state court interpreters, and DPSI-trained legal interpreters who handle depositions, attorney-client privileged conversations, immigration interviews, USCIS interviews, and remote court appearances. - Depositions & sworn statements: Court-trained interpreters available for in-person or remote depositions, with accuracy documentation on request. - Attorney-client meetings: Privileged conversations with interpreters who understand and respect attorney-client confidentiality. - Immigration & USCIS interviews: Interpreters experienced with USCIS, asylum, and immigration court procedures. - Remote court appearances: Interpreter joins your virtual court session as a co-participant — no third dial-in to manage. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/interpreters/legal (Markdown: https://www.proz.com/remoto/interpreters/legal.md) ### Conference & Simultaneous Interpreters (RSI) Conference interpretation — also called simultaneous interpretation or RSI (remote simultaneous interpretation) — is the highest-stakes form of live interpreting. The interpreter renders speech in near-real-time while the speaker continues talking, which requires elite training, ISO-aligned audio equipment, and reliable internet. Remoto connects you with AIIC members and professionally trained conference interpreters for summits, board meetings, investor presentations, webinars, and multilingual livestreams. - Summits & conferences: Multi-day events with multiple language streams, interpreters rotating in 20-minute shifts per industry standard. - Board & investor meetings: Confidential simultaneous interpretation for executive sessions and earnings calls. - Webinars & livestreams: Interpreter feed mixed into your broadcast as a separate audio channel viewers can select. - Multilingual training: Real-time interpretation for training sessions, workshops, and global team all-hands. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/interpreters/conference (Markdown: https://www.proz.com/remoto/interpreters/conference.md) ### Business Interpreters for International Calls International business doesn't pause for a translation cycle. Remoto's business interpreters specialize in real-time sales calls, vendor negotiations, supplier meetings, customer support escalations, and partner conversations across 300+ language pairs. Most interpreters work consecutively (you speak, they render, the other side responds) — natural pacing that keeps the conversation flowing without the equipment overhead of simultaneous interpretation. - Sales discovery calls: Interpreter joins your video call with international prospects — no language barrier, faster qualification. - Supplier & vendor meetings: Real-time interpretation for procurement, contract negotiation, and quality review calls. - Customer support escalations: Get an interpreter on the line in seconds for high-stakes customer conversations. - Partner & investor meetings: Recurring interpreter assignments for ongoing international partnerships and board observers. Page: https://www.proz.com/remoto/interpreters/business (Markdown: https://www.proz.com/remoto/interpreters/business.md) ### Verified & Credentialed Interpreters Every interpreter shown here has been identity-verified by Remoto's onboarding team and confirmed against the documentation they submitted (government ID, professional credentials, signed contractor agreements). Many also display verified certifications from independent registries — FCICE for federal court, CCHI / NBCMI for medical, AIIC for conference, RID for ASL — that buyers can independently check by clicking through to the issuing body. - First-time interpreter hire: Start with verified interpreters so you know who you're working with — identity-checked, credentials confirmed. - Compliance-required work: Healthcare, legal, government, and enterprise procurement often require provable interpreter qualifications. - High-stakes single sessions: When the call really matters — a deposition, a clinical trial consent, a board negotiation — start verified. It supports Video Remote Interpreting (VRI), audio-only sessions, Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI), and Sign Language Interpreting (ASL, BSL, DGS, LSF, and 15+ more)—all through one platform with transparent, per-minute pricing. **Who can use Remoto?** Organizations use Remoto in different ways: Language Service Providers (LSPs) and other organizations that have their own interpreter rosters use Remoto to run their business—managing private pools, client bookings, and overflow. Healthcare, legal, and business clients use Remoto to book and manage interpretation sessions for their meetings. Individual users can request interpreters for personal or professional needs. Professional interpreters use Remoto to go online, accept calls, and get paid. Teachers, trainers, coaches, consultants, and other professionals can create professional profiles to showcase their expertise, set rates, enable booking, and offer services through Remoto's Professionals directory—separate from interpreter work when you do both. All user types can sign up from the homepage. **What types of interpretation do you offer?** We offer Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) for face-to-face HD video calls, audio-only interpreting in your browser (no camera required), Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) for conferences and events, and Sign Language Interpreting with high-fidelity video for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing users — supporting ASL, BSL, DGS, LSF, and 15+ more sign languages. Dial-in over-the-phone interpreting (OPI) is available through the Remoto Phone Line. You choose the mode that fits your situation. **I have a ProZ account. Can I use it with Remoto?** Yes. ProZ members can sign in with their ProZ credentials at the ProZ login page. Using your ProZ email when registering as an interpreter helps link your professional profile and Remoto profile. Remoto is built by ProZ and integrates with the ProZ interpreter community. **What technology do I need?** All you need is a device with a microphone and stable internet connection (a camera is required for video calls only). Our platform works on desktop browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and mobile devices. No downloads or installations required. **What languages and specializations do you support?** We support 300+ language pairs with interpreters specialized in medical, legal, business, technical, and general interpretation. Each interpreter's profile clearly shows their areas of expertise and certifications. **Do you offer dial-in phone interpreting (OPI)?** Yes. With the Remoto Phone Line you dial an access number from any phone, with no browser or internet needed, enter your account number and PIN, and press a speed-dial key or a 3-digit language code to reach an interpreter. You can also connect through audio-only sessions in Remoto on a desktop or mobile browser. ### On-Demand Calls **How quickly can I connect with an interpreter?** When interpreters are online, many calls connect within a minute—often in under 30 seconds. You send a request to available interpreters who match your language pair and specialty; the first to accept connects with you. **Can I do an audio-only call without a camera?** Yes. You can run an audio-only interpreting session right in your browser with just a microphone—no camera needed. Choose video only when you need face-to-face interpretation; audio-only is great for quick or phone-style conversations. **How do on-demand calls get billed?** Billing starts when you and the interpreter are connected and runs per minute at the rate shown before you start. You only pay for the time you use, and the charge is applied after the session. Add a verified payment card before paid calls. ### Scheduled Calls **Can I schedule sessions in advance?** Yes! You can book interpreters for future dates and times that work for your schedule. You'll get a confirmation email when you book. Email reminders before the session are coming soon. Today, Remoto shows in-app reminders when it's time to join. You can reschedule or cancel according to our policies. **Can I set a backup interpreter for a scheduled call?** Yes. For scheduled calls you can choose a primary interpreter and one or more backups. The primary runs the session and joins on time; a backup only steps in if the primary can't make it. You're only charged for the interpreter who actually runs the call — backups are free standby, so adding them costs nothing extra. **Can I invite other participants to a scheduled call?** Yes. When scheduling, you can add participant emails so guests receive a join link, and you can message the interpreter beforehand to share prep materials (a script, slides, or key terminology) right from the call's page. **What is your cancellation and no-show policy?** You can reschedule or cancel a scheduled session any time before it starts. Cancelling 24+ hours ahead is free. Cancelling 12–24 hours ahead costs 50% of the booked slot, 6–12 hours ahead costs 75%, and less than 6 hours ahead, after the start time, or a no-show is billed at 100% of the booked slot. See our Terms of Service for full details. We recommend cancelling or rescheduling as soon as you know your plans. **What if the call ends early or runs past the scheduled time?** Once a session starts, the booked slot is billed in full even if the call ends early — your interpreter reserved that time and turned down other work to hold it for you. If a call runs longer than scheduled, you're simply billed for the extra connected minutes at your standard rate, with no added penalty. We recommend booking the duration you expect to need and rescheduling ahead of time if your plans change. ### Conferences & Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) **What is Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI)?** RSI lets you run conferences, webinars, and multi-language events entirely in the browser — no interpreter booths or special hardware. Speakers present in the source (floor) language, professional interpreters render it live into one or more target languages, and each audience member listens in the language they choose. You schedule the session, pick your target languages, and invite interpreters and speakers ahead of time. **Can a conference have more than one speaker?** Yes. When you schedule a conference/RSI call you can invite multiple speakers by email. Each speaker gets their own join link and joins on the floor with microphone and camera (not listen-only), so they can present and be interpreted. The audience, interpreters, and other speakers all see whoever is presenting, and on the audience and speaker screens you can see every speaker at once in a conference-style grid. **How does the audience join a conference, and what can they do?** Audience members join through a link you share — either a public link or a private lobby link where you admit people. They listen in their preferred language (the original floor audio or any interpreted language) right in their browser. The audience is listen-only (no microphone or camera) and can use the audience chat to send questions. The host can see the live audience count and the list of who has joined. **Can speakers share their screen during a conference?** Yes. Any speaker can share their screen — for example, slides. The shared screen becomes the main view for the audience and the other participants, with the speakers shown alongside it, and it returns to the speaker view when sharing stops. **Is there a chat in conference calls?** Yes — there are two separate threads. The host, speakers, and interpreters share a private 'Staff' chat to coordinate the session, and there's a separate 'Audience' chat that audience members use to ask questions and that staff can read and reply to. The audience never sees the staff thread. **How are interpreters assigned for each language?** When scheduling an RSI call you set the source (floor) language and one or more target languages, then invite one or more interpreters per target language. You can also set a primary interpreter and backups for a language — the primary runs the session and a backup only steps in if needed, and you're only charged for the interpreter who actually interprets. ### Sign Language **Do you support sign language interpreting?** Yes. Remoto supports Sign Language Interpreting with high-fidelity video for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing users — including ASL, BSL, DGS, LSF, and 15+ more sign languages. Sign language sessions always use video so the interpreter is clearly visible. **Can sign language interpreters join a scheduled or conference call?** Yes. You can schedule sign language sessions in advance and, for conferences, include sign language interpretation alongside spoken-language interpreters. The sign language interpreter is shown so participants can follow them throughout the session. ### Pricing & Billing **How much does it cost?** Pricing is transparent and per-minute based on language pair and specialization. You'll see the exact rate before you book. No hidden fees or subscriptions—you only pay for the time you use. **How does billing work?** Billing starts when the interpretation session begins (when you and the interpreter are connected). You pay only for the time you use. Add a verified payment card before paid calls; organizations and individual accounts use the same flow. Charges are applied after each session. Exact rates are shown before you start or book a call. **How is a conference / RSI call priced?** A conference (RSI) call total is the sum of each interpreter's own per-minute rate for the time they interpret (rates can differ between interpreters), plus $2 per audience member who joins, plus a flat $30 platform management fee for the session. You see a cost estimate while scheduling the call, and the full breakdown — per-interpreter cost, audience fee, and platform fee — appears in your transaction details after the call. **Where can I see my charges and a bill breakdown?** Open Transactions in your dashboard to review every charge with the call's language pair, date, and duration. For conference (RSI) calls you can expand a transaction to see the full bill breakdown — each interpreter's cost, the audience fee, and the platform fee that add up to the total. **How much does call recording cost?** Recording is an optional add-on. When it's available for your call, enable 'Include recording download' at booking for a small per-minute fee (currently +$0.10/min) on top of the interpreter's rate. You're only charged it on calls where you turn recording on, and you can download the recording from the call's details afterward. ### Recording **Can I record my session?** Yes. When you book a call, turn on 'Include recording download' (an optional per-minute add-on, currently +$0.10/min) to record the session. After the call ends and processing finishes, you can download the recording from the call's details. Recordings are private to the call's participants, delivered over a secure, access-controlled link rather than a public URL, and retained for a limited time—download a copy to keep it. For sensitive sessions, make sure everyone is aware the call is being recorded before you begin. **Who can access my call recordings?** Only the participants of that specific call—the person who booked it and the interpreter—can view or download the recording. Downloads are served through a secure, access-controlled link (never a public URL) and each download is logged. Recordings are never shared with other users or made publicly available. **How long are call recordings available?** Recordings are kept for 48 hours after the call, then removed automatically. Download a copy within that window if you need to keep it long-term. For extended retention or deletion requests, contact remoto.support@proz.com. ### For Interpreters **How do I work as an interpreter on Remoto?** Register as an interpreter, complete verification, and add your language pairs and rates. When you're ready, go online in your dashboard; you'll receive incoming call requests that match your languages. Accept calls to connect, complete the session, and get paid. Earnings and payouts are managed in your Remoto account. **How do interpreters get paid?** Interpreters are paid for the time they spend in sessions. Earnings appear in your dashboard. Set up ProZ Pay in Settings, then request a withdrawal from Transactions when you have an available balance. Withdrawals are reviewed and processed after approval; only one request can be pending at a time. **Are your interpreters certified, and how is quality maintained?** Interpreters are reviewed before they can join Remoto. Profiles show certifications, experience, and compliance details where provided—such as identity verification or healthcare credentials. We maintain quality through application review, ongoing performance monitoring, and customer ratings and feedback after each session. **What documents do I need to submit as an interpreter?** Every interpreter must upload two identity documents to complete their profile: a government-issued ID card and a selfie of yourself holding that ID card. Beyond that minimum, requirements depend on the services you choose. If you offer medical interpreting, you must also provide a HIPAA-compliance certificate, a Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA) certificate, and proof of 40-hour medical interpreter training. Other specialties (legal, court, education, community) have no additional required documents. We also recommend uploading credentials that strengthen your profile and help clients find you—such as a CV, university degree, interpretation or terminology training, language certificates, and letters of recommendation—but these are optional and never block you from going online. ### Account, Security & Privacy **Is my conversation private and secure?** Yes. Video and audio are encrypted in transit using industry-standard protection. We follow GDPR and industry-standard security practices. HIPAA compliance can be provided on request—contact remoto.support@proz.com to submit your request. Your sessions are private. Call recordings are optional—a session is only recorded when recording is enabled for that call, and the recording is available only to the call's participants. **How do payment methods work, and can I remove my only card?** Add a verified payment card in Payment Methods before paid calls; you can add several and choose a default. You can remove any saved card — including your last one — though you won't be able to start paid calls until you add another payment method. **How do I get help or contact support?** For general help, visit our Support page for articles and guides. If you can't find an answer here, create a support ticket and our team will help — you can attach screenshots and follow our replies right on the ticket. You can also email remoto.support@proz.com for account, billing, technical, HIPAA, or compliance requests. **I still can't find a solution to my problem. What should I do?** If none of these answers solve your issue, open a support ticket and the Remoto team will get back to you. Describe what happened, attach a screenshot if it helps, and you'll be able to track our replies in one place — no account required. ## Security and compliance - Encryption in transit: all web traffic uses HTTPS (TLS); video and audio use encrypted WebRTC (DTLS-SRTP). Calls are NOT end-to-end encrypted: media is encrypted between each participant and the real-time provider's servers. - Encryption at rest on the managed databases and for stored recordings. - HIPAA: not offered by default. For qualifying healthcare customers ProZ.com signs a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) on request — email remoto.support@proz.com. - Recordings: calls are recorded for quality assurance, training and dispute resolution, and each recording is deleted automatically 48 hours after it is ready. Only the call's participants can download a recording they requested. - GDPR: access, correction, export and deletion requests go to privacy@proz.com and are handled by the Privacy Officer. - Role-based, tenant-scoped access: agencies cannot see each other's calls, rosters, clients or rates. Administrator sign-in requires a one-time code. - Interpreters are approved per language pair after identity-document review with a face match, a plausibility check on the claimed pairs and credential checks. Ratings and complaints can flag or suspend a pair. - Sub-processors include Stream (video/audio), Stripe and Braintree (payments), Telnyx (telephony), MongoDB Atlas (database), Cloudflare (CDN), SendGrid (email), Sentry, New Relic, PostHog and Google Analytics. The full list is on the security page. - ProZ.com holds no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification; security questionnaires are answered on request. OpenAPI: https://www.proz.com/remoto/api/agent/v1/openapi.json. - Call SDK: a JavaScript snippet (https://www.proz.com/remoto/sdk/remoto-call.js) that opens a Remoto interpreted call from a partner's site. ## AI connector (MCP) Remoto runs a remote MCP server at https://www.proz.com/remoto/api/mcp (stateless Streamable HTTP, MCP 2026-07-28; 2025-era clients are served too). Add it as a custom connector in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Cursor or VS Code. No sign-in. Server card: https://www.proz.com/remoto/api/mcp/server-card. - Tools (all read-only): list_services, resolve_language, check_language_pair, get_price_quote, find_interpreters, get_interpreter, get_open_slots, get_start_link, search_help - Resources: remoto://services, remoto://pricing-rules, remoto://languages, remoto://security - Prompts: find_an_interpreter, book_medical_interpreter Connectors are not covered by a HIPAA BAA: do not send patient names or health details through an AI assistant. Medical organizations should request a BAA and book through Remoto directly. ## Industries served - Healthcare: https://www.proz.com/remoto/industries/healthcare - Legal: https://www.proz.com/remoto/industries/legal - Education: https://www.proz.com/remoto/industries/education - Government: https://www.proz.com/remoto/industries/government - Business: https://www.proz.com/remoto/industries/business ## Help articles ### Getting Started - [Creating Your Account](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/getting-started/creating-your-account): Choose the right Remoto registration path — interpreter, individual user or organization — and what each account type unlocks after you sign up. - [Logging In to Remoto](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/getting-started/logging-in-to-remoto): One login for every Remoto account type: how to sign in, how you are routed to the right dashboard automatically, and fixes for common login problems. - [Platform Overview](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/getting-started/platform-overview): Get oriented on Remoto: the interpreter, user and organization dashboards, where On-Demand, scheduling, call history and settings live, and what each does. - [Making Your First Interpretation Call](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/getting-started/your-first-call): Make your first interpretation call on Remoto step by step: check prerequisites, open On-Demand, pick a language pair, choose an interpreter and connect. ### For Interpreters - [How to Register as an Interpreter](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/interpreters/how-to-apply-as-interpreter): Register as an interpreter on Remoto in one screen: enter your email and password, verify your email, then sign in to complete your profile and language pairs. - [Setting Up Your Interpreter Profile](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/interpreters/setting-up-your-profile): Complete your Remoto interpreter profile: professional photo, bio, language pairs, rates and specialties, so clients can find and book you in the directory. - [Accepting and Managing Calls](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/interpreters/accepting-calls): How interpreters receive and handle live Remoto calls: go available, get the incoming-call notification, join the video or audio session, and wrap up cleanly. - [How Interpreter Payments Work](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/interpreters/how-interpreter-payments-work): How Remoto interpreters get paid: per-minute rates, how earnings accrue after each call, the payout schedule, and how to set up your payout method. - [Understanding Your Ratings](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/interpreters/understanding-your-ratings): How client ratings are calculated on Remoto, where interpreters can see them, what affects directory ranking, and practical tips to keep your score high. - [Best Practices for Video Calls](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/interpreters/best-practices-video-calls): Professional standards for remote video interpreting on Remoto: quiet setup, lighting, camera and audio checks, appearance, and etiquette during the call. - [Handling Technical Issues During Calls](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/interpreters/handling-technical-issues): What interpreters should do when audio, video or connection problems hit mid-call: quick fixes, when to tell participants, and how to escalate to Remoto support. - [Managing Your Availability](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/interpreters/managing-availability): Control when you receive Remoto call requests: prerequisites for going online, using the availability toggle, and what your online status means to clients. - [Requesting Remoto Eligibility](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/interpreters/requesting-remoto-eligibility): How ProZ.com interpreters request access to the Remoto interpreter pool: check your eligibility status, submit a join request, and what happens after review. - [Joining the Interpreter Pool](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/interpreters/joining-the-interpreter-pool): Join the Remoto interpreter pool with your approved language pairs: prerequisites, selecting pairs, confirming rates, and appearing in the public directory. - [Types of Calls You Can Receive](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/interpreters/understanding-remoto-vs-regular-pool): The two kinds of work interpreters get on Remoto — immediate on-demand calls and scheduled calls — how each is assigned, and what to expect from either. - [Working with an agency](https://www.proz.com/remoto/support/interpreters/working-with-an-agency): Accept an agency invite on My Agencies, see the payout for each language pair, and leave a roster.
