Post title: A Big Flop!

The event was a big flop, if I may say so myslef. Despite confirmations and re-confirmations, no one showed up and I was waiting and waiting from 10:30 PM until 1:30 AM (being Ramamdan). Finally, I gave up hope that there will be any one coming and went home. Only one participant sent an apology just a few hours before the event. All the others left me savour the sour-bitter taste of a big faiure. Such a horrible taste that perhaps our respected colleague Tamara Zahran remembers from her 2005 attempt.

Ever the optimist, I intend to propose another powwow soon. I hope the second time around to taste the sweet fruit of success.

Hello Lotfi. You need bring nothing except some good ideas on how we can enhance professional services offered by freelance translators in Saudi Arabia. There is no set program except to meet soon after Taraweeh at a resturant on the Cornich, get to know each other, discuss ways and means to enhance professional services, and conclude the event with suhoor. If you wish to suggest a more structered program, please share your ideas.
