Most of the time since June, I had no jobs to do, so I'd either read books or watch YouTube. And received my pay every month, since I wasn't a freelancer. That routine got me very tired, so now my workplace environment has become way louder because I'm a translator/editor turned welder. Arcs humming? No big deal. Angle grinders running? Still bearable (doesn't happen too often). One thing that's really taxing on your ears is everyone knocking off slag, all the time, after every pass. A translator working from home has probably never been exposed to that level of hammering noise. And I have no regrets: I wanted a more dynamic life and got it

I can sometimes listen to my family talking or some cars passing by my house, but it is still quiet. To be honest, I do like it a lot.
