Forum: Scams
Topic: Beware of potential scammers johnkevin66990@gmail.com and giffordmarkkelly@gmail.com
Poster: Anastasia Kingsley Kinkusic

Hello, I have been offered potential jobs by
john kavin

(the name spelling is extremely strange. Are you kavin or kevin?)

and another amazing Academic Translation job offering - without mentioning the language pairs - arrived from [email removed] .

Please be wary. Both have offered me work without defining anything in particular. I once almost fell for a scam where the sender (Dr. Livingston, I am not joking) "accidentally" sent me money to my account - money that should have gone to some other person. My bank warned me to wait, as this transaction took place on a Friday night. Sure enough, by Monday morning, the check bounced, and had I transfered the money to their decorator, or whoever, I would have been out the money.

You can always spot these characters by poor spelling, no attention to detail, languages and deadlines are rarely mentioned. No details about the project itself, just trying to hook you and trick you.

so, beware....

It's a jungle out there!
