Your posting touched a chord with me. A quick search on the internet using the search criteria “leading authorities on Parkinson’s disease”, showed a number of institutions, medical centres, etc. worldwide whose credentials are impeccable. However, rather than focusing on the centres themselves, I found the following links dealing with some new drugs, treatments, etc. which may be interesting reading and worth looking into.

The Paracelsus Elena-Klinik in Kassel (near where I live) is the leading authority on the disease in Germany.
Unfortunately, they don't seem to have an English website.

Dear Colleagues,
I have a friend of friends from back home who has Parkinson's disease.
He asked me whether I could identify a number of top U.S. medical professionals who have achieved distinction in the treatment and/or study of this illness. I am not inclined to limit my search to the U.S. alone.
So, if there is any confrère or consoeur out there who might be able to help- I am thinking about top medical translators and interpreters, though everybody's suggestion is welcome - please feel free to drop me a line with names, addresses, references etc.
