Merci à John et Kathryn, des organisateurs résolument détendus, malgré le travail que l'organisation a dû demandé.
Comme tous, j'ai apprécié le contenu et les rencontres de la conférence et espère bien que cet événement se renouvellera d'ici peu.
Merci aussi aux collègues conférenciers pour nous avoir fait part de leur expérience. J'espère pouvoir un jour en faire autant...
Comme Margaret, je n'ai pas assisté à toutes les conférences qui m'intéressaient, d'une part car je n'étais là que le vendredi, et d'autre part car le choix entre les conférences en parallèle s'est souvent avéré difficile...
Je voulais donc également savoir si des scripts sont disponibles ou s'il faut s'adresser aux différents conférenciers.

Hi everyone,

Great conference - thank you to John and Kathryn and everyone else who worked so hard to make it a success. Wonderful to meet everyone in such a beautiful place. The wine-tasting was especially appreciated.

My question is will the conference notes be posted soon or am I looking in the wrong place? There were lots of really interesting sessions I couldn't attend, especially when I got side-tracked by Aix's colourful markets on Saturday after booking my train ticket at the station, instead of hurrying back to the conference.

Hope to meet everyone again at future events.

Il y a déjà quelques photos sur le site du congrès. Allez sur "images" "The Conference itself". Il y a en a pas beaucoup parce que je n'ai pas encore eu le temps de changer la taille de mes photos, mais si non vous pouvez m'envoyer un e-mail et je vous enverrai directement des photos.

My first conference and it was (in spite of the insects in the hotel) unmissable.

I enjoyed meeting so many fellow translators and exchanging experiences and information. Cyberspace is wonderful, but it doesn't replace actually meeting people.

Special thanks to: Usha for your advice re insect bites - it worked - and to Andrew for being so patient and helpful with my computer queries.

Thanks to John also for the post-conference training session in Nice and two days of summer weather. We are now back in the Pyrenees (autumn) and flying to London tomorrow to experience November as winter.

Looking forward to using some of what I have learned,

Merci à John, Kathreen et Rebecka pour cette belle organisation!
C'était la première fois que j'allais dans une rencontre de traducteur. Que de belles rencontres! Grâce à cette conférence j'ai découvert des traducteurs qui vivent tout près de chez moi, je me sens un peu moins seule. C'était génial de pouvoir échanger comme ça entre collègues. Pour ma part, ça m'a fait un bien immense, juste avant l'hiver c'est l'idéal.

OK, maybe not the same thing as the NY marathon, but close to it! How exhilarating!

Thanks to everyone, and yes, John, it was exactly how you promised it would be. The personal contacts - as well as the professional – made such an impression on me. I don’t think I felt bored for one instant!

Thank you to the organizers, thank you to the wonderfully creative participants of the writing workshop, thanks to the speakers who shared invaluable information, and thanks to the other participants and the fascinating conversations in the halls, “à table”, etc. etc.

Hope to see or hear from everyone in the near future…

Thanks a lot to Kathryn and John who managed to organize this event in a perfect way.
I was convinced this weekend would be very interesting professionally. I couldn't imagine this meeting would be so interesting on the personal and relational point of view. I met wonderful people and even if we talked a lot about our profession - and it helped me a lot thanks ! - we also discussed about our life which is often solitary faced with our computer (sometimes 12 hours a day), how people perceive us in our private life, the difficulty to share a life with someone who sometimes misunderstand our work.
Anyway, evrything was positive and constructive.

I'd like to address a special THANK YOU to Ralf, Paola and Bruno who helped to solve my car problem ...

It was great to meet you all and I look forward to the next meeting.

NB : John, I'm sorry not to have been able to say goodbye and be there for the group photo. I had a problem with my car in the Globe's parking which I needed to solve rapidly. Hope your Sunday pow wow was great

I too am back home, "welcomed" by the mists and fogs of Isère.

I add my thanks to Natalia's for the great organisation. Kathryn and John did a wonderful job in making sure all went well even though Rebekka couldn't come due to health problems.

Thanks too to Natalia and all the others who organised interesting and helpful workshops or otherwise shared their experiences with us - Natalia's back office is really well organised!

These opportunities to meet, exchange and learn are essential to translators for whom it is all too easy to stay at home in increasing isolation.

And it was great fun!

Hello everyone,
I returned home Saturday evening after a wonderful two days in Aix en Provence.
It was really inspiring to meet so many translators. It's true that often we can feel like competitors, working alone at home and often fighting to get our next client. Yet, from the beginning of the conference there was a connection and goodwill which was heartwarming.

Discussions with others during and after the conferences sessions were full of information and contacts. I was very happy to meet you all, and I will be sure to participate in upcoming Proz conferences in the hopes of seeing you again.

Congratulations to all the organizers for all their efforts to make sure this conference was a success.
