Anypay - has anyone ever used them?

Has anyone ever used Anypay (www.anypay.com) for sending/receiving funds?

In my particular case, I need to send a fairly small amount (about $35) to Egypt, apparently Paypal doesn't work too well there. Moneybookers no longer works with the US, so that's not an option.

They seem to be legit. The domain name is owned by a German company but the business itself is claimed to be a Canadian company.

I tried to register but got security errors from my browser:

(1) The server's name "secure.anypay.com" does not match the certificate's name "www.anypay.com". Somebody may be trying to eavesdrop on you.
(2) The certificate for "www.anypay.com" is signed by the unknown Certificate Authority "www.anypay.com". It is not possible to verify that this is a valid certificate.
(3) The certificate for "www.anypay.com" expired 2008/01/07 04:20:49 nm GMT. The webmaster should update the certificate(s).

I find it odd that an international money transfer business would not use a third-party certifying authority like Thawte and instead self-sign their security files. Self-signing is not wrong but it sends the wrong message to potential clients.

Moneybookers no longer works with the US...


Do you know this for a fact? I visited the MB site yesterday and they seem to have full support for sending and receiving from and to the United States (although I did not try to register as an American).

Do not use it ! If the certifcate isn't legit it's a scam !

Moneybookers works fine anywhere, you can use the SWIFT system to send money anywhere as long as you Identify yourself which is a simple procedure.

I had heard about this and logged in. No sending or receiving when an american account was involved.

Furthermore I found this at Wikipedia :
