Salve a tutti,

chiedo il vostro aiuto in quanto ho necessità di trovare l'originale inglese di una frase in italiano di Newton, la frase è la seguente:

"..era come se ci fosse mancata la terra sotto i piedi, e in vista non ci fosse alcun punto fermo su cui costruire.."

In Internet ci sono anche altre traduzioni italiane molto simili, ma dell'originale nessuna traccia.

In alternativa, qualcuno sa da quale scritto è stata presa la frase?

su vari siti Internet è citata questa frase dall'autobiografia di Einstein.

credo proprio che abbia ragione Laura! Dovrebbe essere tratta dalla Autobiografia Scientifica di Einstein.
