I seem to be coming down with a quite unpleasant strain of flu so unfortunately wont be able to make it after all. Ah well, next time ... (and I hope there is a next time some time soon)

I'll pick up Rod at Essen station at 11.59 sharp (if the train's on time, that is) and head straight for Cologne. Hopefully, we'll make it on time. (C: See you then!

it's in the hands of German Rail Sep 21, 2002

the first time I travelled by train to Germany (1959), that sentence would have put your mind at rest. My mobile is 0170/4054484 - please text me yours, so I can let you know if I miss my connection (4 minutes) in Dortmund!
If I'm on time, we should be in Cologne around 12:15, or do you drive slowly?

when's the next one? Sep 26, 2002

Hi all!
I really enjoyed myself enormously in Cologne last Saturday, even though it was rather late when we got to Rolf's (thanks again Rolf), but I still didn't get to talk to even half of 'us'. In my opinion, it was well worth travelling to Cologne for, although I was a bit 'knackered' on Sunday.
I think we all felt it'd be good to hold them more often, and perhaps vary the venue, so that others can attend, so what's the general feeling: is anyone keen to do something, or shall we

I think we all felt it'd be good to hold them more often, and perhaps vary the venue, so that others can attend, so what's the general feeling: is anyone keen to do something, or shall we wait until Spring? Steffen Walter has said he'll organise one in Berlin, I'm happy to do the same in Schwerin, but maybe we should try for Hamburg oder so 'was.
ATB, Rod
P.S. the ICE was running 18 minutes late when I got to Dortmund, so I ended up in Köln instead of Essen!
