Key Responsibilities for Sr. JP Language Lead
Revision 3.1 / Megumi Kato & Bodo Vahldieck
Primary Responsibilities.
• Senior Manager JP Localization Operations Support:
 Generate quality problem reports to be submitted to the services provider.
 Support the generation of quality problem report.

• Business Review Support:
 Perform extended reviews on selected material before the submission for Business Review.
• Linguistic Quality Review and Evaluation:
 Perform additional spot-checks on all high visible material and implement improvements before submission.

• Team member support:
 Provide support to the fellow team members in meeting local goals; such as quality related JP activities
 Report the progress of activities to Quality team as well as sharing the outcome with LSPs.

• LQE Review Quality for Japanese management:
 Working closely with Quality team to make sure that LQE reviewer team provide expected level of LQE
 Regularly check LQE result for Japanese and report the analysis to Quality team as well as Senior manager of JP localization team
 Plan and take necessary action to improve LQE reviewer quality
 Lead regular meeting for LQE feedback to LQE reviewer team
 Coordinate to share necessary information in Japanese to LQE reviewers

Secondary responsibilities.
• Terminology & TM Management & Reference Material
 Drive resolution of terminology-related queries with support of Japan Project Teams.
• Quality Management
 Main point of contact for Review vendors, ensuring quality, including to host regular Quality Meeting with LSPs
 Audit (ensure that the JP process/standards are followed) and measure vendor performance and quality.

• Quality Improvement & Process Improvements
 Maintain a best-of-class process that will assist with maintaining and improving linguistic quality throughout.
 Support of Linguistic, Technical and In-Country Review process through internal and external resources.

• Vendor resource qualification and evaluation
 Pro-actively manage local vendor qualification, provide training for localization systems and processes, and ensure availability of highly skilled production resources.
