Hello, to all experienced and proficient translators in Hindi.
We currently have a requirement for Hindi linguists, experienced in sub-titling and have an excellent command in written Hindi.
No agencies or companies are or shall be entertained.
One of the world’s leading media localization provider, offering dubbing, subtitling, and media services for international, regional, and local content owners, aggregators, broadcasters, and new media distributors.
With them having potential projects coming up in the next few months, they are currently identifying Translation Vendors in the market who may be able to assist them on some overflow in this potential project and we have been among those chosen.
They would be interested to know more about the services we can offer.
Please see below a few questions they have and thank you in advance for all the accurate feedback you can provide.
They shall be providing English Scripts or EMT with English Video.
1. Do you have experience in working with Subtitling TV content
2. Can you list the languages you are able to work in?
2. If yes, can you provide examples of projects you have done before and volumes?
3. What is, on an average, your turnaround for a 45’ episode, to subtitle? 1 day? 2 days
4. Can you provide us your range of capacity in hours per month for TV content Subtitling
5. Aside from translation, I believe you will be able to provide QC and proof-reading services,
6. Please advise other services you have provided for TV content Subtitling
7. They will you be happy to integrate in our process, their own Subtitling Software pursuant to a vendor contract being signed with us?
8. Will you be willing to undergo testing for Quality purposes?
Considering their projects are mainly for subtitling, one main aspect and the concern is that the allowed number of characters to fit into the screen are aligned with accurate translation.
So they really discourage a per word basis for the rate.
Once you incorporate their system into your process, the materials provided are already time-coded and with English scripts. You’ll only have to insert your translation.
